Investment Casting
Compared to other casting techniques, investment castings (aka lost wax casting) can be created with higher detail, tighter tolerances, and minimized raw material. This lets us produce parts with precise dimensions and the flexibility to add design elements such as lettering or a logo.
Parts can be created in a wide range of sizes from ounces to tons. With the exacting nature of our process, parts are produced with accuracy and repeatability.
Approach
Because TPM produces parts that are customized for each order, we work with our customers to gather or develop the necessary details so we can make the parts exactly right AND make it easy to transact business.
Process
If you have a CAD drawing of the part you want produced, that makes things easiest. But if not, give us a part and we can develop the drawing we’ll need. The next step is sampling, so you’ll get a part you can closely examine to make sure it’s right. Next it’s time for us to make the mold and prepare for production!
Investment Casting
Investment casting allows creation of complex shapes, thin walls, and fine details including brand and part number. We often find that two or more machined parts can be combined into a single casting. Parts emerge close to net shape, requiring less machining. A variety of metals can be used, and fine surface finishes can be achieved.
Other Castings
While investment casting is the heart of our business, we have experience and resources in other types of casting including sand, lost foam and centrifugal casting. Talk to us and we’ll tell you if another type of casting would better suit your needs.
Technologies
In addition to CAD systems, ERP, and systems for sales and customer service, TPM has invested heavily in factory automation. Our automation gives customers more consistent quality within and between orders, and the productivity that gives us lead times much shorter than our typical competitors.

Ankur Goel
President
Ankur Goel has been instrumental in leading the company to serve a wide range of industries, including energy, medical, and food processing. Under his leadership, TPM has expanded its operations to include facilities in Taiwan and China, enabling them to offer a mix of speed and cost efficiency in their services.
Ankur’s expertise in the field has helped TPM maintain a high standard of quality and innovation, ensuring their parts meet the exact specifications and tolerances required by our valued customers. He has succeeded in bringing up a small business manufacturer and is focused on driving further growth and success for the company.
Brad DeSplinter
Vice President / General Manager
Brad DeSplinter is the Vice President and General Manager at Texas Precision Metalcraft (TPM). With over three decades of experience in the investment casting industry, Brad has significantly contributed to TPM’s operations. He holds a BS in Manufacturing Engineering from Bradley University and has worked in various foundries, gaining expertise in engineering, sales, and operations.
At TPM, Brad oversees daily activities, ensuring high-quality production and customer satisfaction. He also chairs the Marketing Committee for the Investment Casting Institute, promoting industry advancements.
